Kaila Jefferson, Jacksonville, Florida Obituary Death

The community of Jacksonville, Florida, is grieving the untimely death of 21-year-old Kaila Jefferson, who was fatally shot inside an apartment on Collins Road on April 24, 2026.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex located near Retreat Boulevard. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Jefferson inside the residence with at least one gunshot wound. She was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit promptly initiated an investigation. During the preliminary inquiry, 19-year-old Isaiah Micaleb Robinson—who had been detained at the scene—was identified as a suspect. Following the evaluation of evidence and witness interviews, Robinson was formally arrested and charged with manslaughter. He is presently being held at the Duval County Jail.

Officials have not yet disclosed further information regarding the sequence of events leading to the shooting, and the circumstances surrounding the incident within the apartment remain under active investigation.
